4AD, 40th Anniversary Album Artwork
4AD Record Label X Shanti Bell X Chris Bigg, 2021
Titled Bills & Aches & Blues, this is a collaborative project working with the record label 4AD and the artist Chris Bigg. We designed and created the album artwork to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the record label. Over the period of 6 months, we generated a visual concept with the starting place being imagery from my BA final collection. Together, we developed a series of 4 digital album covers, a physical vinyl record cover, and a series of short film clips which accompanied each track. This was a project about the layering of our creative styles to reflect the vast compilation of music genres on the album.
